May 3rd.

UPDATE May 3 3:22 EST .. Tsunami Warning Canceled, lets hope the local damage wasn't to bad.

Everyone has probably already heard, but a 8.0 earthquake off the coast of Tonga occured just after 12pm est. No informaiton yet on if there is a Tsunami, but the US National Weather Service has posted warnings for Tonga New Zealand, Fiji, and Hawaii. The horrible Tsumani in the Indian Ocean was 9.0 on the richter scale .. so say some prayers for those down under.

The IUCN (World Conservation Union) RedList is released on May 4. This report is on endangered species around the world. Articles from NewScientist.com and the National Geographic News states that the Polar Bear is now on the Endangered Species List, due to climate change (the ice cap is melting, removing their hunting territory). Does this make you ask, does Harper really understand what he is doing by dumping Kyoto?
